The Commission scheduled four public hearings on the emergency action approved by the Atlantic Striped Bass Management Board for 2023 recreational management measures.

The ASMFC is seeking public comment on Draft Addendum I to Amendment 7, which considers allowing voluntary transfers of striped bass ocean commercial quota between states that have ocean quota.

Hearings to be conducted throughout March.

ASMFC includes recreational release mortality, conservation equivalency, management triggers, and measures to protect the 2015 year class for development in Draft Amendment 7.
