Deerfield River Trout
From it’s headwaters in the mountains of Vermont the Deerfield River meanders southeast through the beautiful hills of western Massachusetts and along side the historic Mohawk Trail, once an important Native American trade route the Mohawk Trail is now know as the most picturesque driving route in Massachusetts renowned for it’s steep valley views of spectacular fall foliage. In this episode OTW’s Chris Megan, a novice fly angler teams up with local guide Chris Jackson of Fly Fish the Deerfield to target trout on the fly. Join in on the action and learn more about fly fishing this breathtaking destination. The Deerfield River has healthy stocks of rainbow, brook, and brown trout.
