Martha’s Vineyard Bass and Bluefish Derby | S2 E09

On The Water editor Gene Bourque joins local surfcaster and taxidermist Janet Messineo for a shore-fishing adventure at Wasque Point on Chappaquiddick Island as the two compete in Martha’s Vineyard’s famous Bass and Bluefish Derby. In between bluefish blitzes, we learn a little about the history and lore of this classic New England tournament.

Neal Larsson and Chris Megan then join Capt. Porky aboard the Whitewater to troll off the Vineyard. Capt. Porky lands the guys in the thick of the action, as bonito, blues and albies all feel the sting of the hook and take off on some scorching runs.
