A memorable fluke season continues and cow stripers are caught around Block Island, meanwhile, bluefin and yellowfin take topwaters and jigs south of Block.
Sea bass fishing is better in deeper water, tuna continue to take live bait and jigs south of Block, and bonito begin to show up in greater numbers.
Bluefin of all sizes are taking jigs while yellowfin crush poppers, cow stripers hit eels and tubes at Block Island, and fluke fishing improves after gusty conditions.
Big fluke move into shallower waters, schools of stripers and bluefish feed on the surface, and yellowfin tuna fishing continues to improve south of Block Island.
There's good tuna fishing south of Block Island, summer-resident bass and bluefish take large topwater plugs, and there is surprisingly good fluke fishing close to home.
Big keeper fluke are biting more consistently and trophy stripers congregate around Block Island, while bigeye, yellowfin and bluefin tuna are all on the offshore menu.
Tuna fishing continues to improve daily, scup and black sea bass entertain the bottom fishing crowd, and striped bass continue to gorge on sand eels out front.
